How would you react to being transformed and moved to a new world without your consent?
Bee Taylor has the answer…and it starts with a growl…
Walking home from her dead-end job, angry and disillusioned, Beatrix “Bee” Taylor sees a cat about to be run down. She saves the cat – but ends up dead. Or is she?
Saved by a Dragon God she thought only existed in her favorite video game, she’s sent through a portal to the Heavenly Savannah in the world of Oria.
Oria isn’t what Bee expected from her gaming – there’s far more going on, and the humans, elves, and dwarves of this world want to “civilize” the barbarian clans. But Bee is now a lion-girl, and she’ll be damned if she lets anyone hurt her newfound friends.
Fighting against undead monsters, confronting a vulture-man cultist, saving a shaman princess, battling outside invaders, and navigating a war between clans sounds difficult. But that’s nothing compared to having to figure out just why she was the one chosen for this new life.
Armed with only her new, nasty claws, her knowledge of how role-playing games work, and her boundless rage, Bee may have to save the world before she gets some answers. But that’s okay with her – any day on the Heavenly Savanna is still better than corporate life.
It’s December, and Stacey Weir’s running her own stunt team for the Spy Game: Live Christmas Special. Or trying to, while dealing with a director who supposedly doesn’t care about his crew, actors who are all more and less than they seem, and a set in utter chaos.
A variety of mishaps, including someone dying from an allergic reaction, are concerning, but seem accidental. Then the on-set accidents get more serious, and someone tries to run Stacey off the road in the middle of the night.
So it’s a good thing that she runs into the Lords of Pain, the scariest biker gang in all of Southern California, who are also very familiar with the World Pictures Studios lot, because murder is just around the corner and, once again, Stacey’s got to prove that the person accused is innocent, while also finding the real killer, and prepping to go on live television in less than a week.
Hooray for Hollywood.
